What type of boots to get

Looking for black leather boots around $50.00-$75.00

You may want to try a google or yahoo search for discount motorcycle boots and see what pops up. I've gotten some excellent deals on "like new" used riding gear on EBay as well.
As far as specific brands, H/D makes an excellent engineer style boot, Rocky makes a really comfortable gore tex lined (waterproof) combat style touring boot, and Oxtar makes a comfortable racing style boot. Prices for all of these boots are all over the map, and it REALLY pays to shop around. Don't forget to try your local M/C dealer and western wear shops as well. Good hunting!

I'm wearing Hi-Tec and I love um. I know they were that cheap at least. All leather and lace above the ankle. Good sturdy rubber sole with good tread.

URL's to a mfgr are cool. I just don't like people stopping by to post once advertising their shop. (SPAM)

I really dig the Harley Davidson Motorcycle boots. But I think they are closer to the $100 range. They may have a few styles that are under that. We just bought http://www.shoebuy.com/pi/wolve/wolve45602_jb.jpg these and they were around $120. We got them at a local shoe store.... the site i found the picture at has them listed for $108 so after taxes it would have been about the same

I guess I'm not up on fashion sense LOL :D All I wear is a comfortable black leather steel toe/shank work boot. They can be a little more pricey for the comfortable ones but they wear well and provide excellent protection ;)

I've been wearing Red Wing "engineer" boots forever they are steel toe , wear like Iron and comfortable all day long. Mine are like the "980" They now make dedictated motorcycle boots http://www.redwingshoes.com/motorcycle/

I got an awesome pair of HD boots off eBay. I think I paid around $50 for them. I also got a leather jacket from eBay for about the same price. Can't beat it!

Timberland makes a good boot. Their a little on the pricy side (at least the ones i bought for work) but they are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned even outdoing my REALLY expensive Rocky hunting boots lol.

A good quality leather with an oil resistant soul is what I prefer. But then that is just me.

I wear Herman Survivors. I use them for work and they are so comfy. They are steel toe but they do come with out the steel too. I just discovered that them and my ROCKY boots are good as well. Oil resistant, touch, comfy and decently priced and can be used at work ...lol

Steel toe and shank are definately preferred by me for riding. Envision what could happen to your feet if you get tangled up with your bike in an accident.

whats weird? on my accident i was wearing boots. The soul was ripped off clean as a whistle. But...It was on the foot that was undamaged.
