I used to ride a sporty. The best mod I thought I did was to upgrade to a single fire ignition. A good exhust helps too. It was a 1981 roadster, an ironhead.

I hear ya loud and clear on a good seat. I went from Fla to Pa on my sporty...The seat was new thank goodness and not stock. Made the ride a breeze.

I just got a 95 883 Sporty Deluxe (at least in it orginal life) in May. I am still trying to figure out all the up grades installed by the previous owners. But so far she is looking good - with the exception of a few short cuts that I am correcting.

I am installing forward controls this Saturday prior to a run to the beach Sunday. I went with the Drag Specialties on a cost/quality basis. (http://www.dragspecialties.com/index.html) and they look like Arlen Ness but without the sticker shock.

I`ve done too much to list. Just look at my garage and see my mods. Best yet is a good set of heads with big valves and a dyno run to set it all up! :headbange

I have a new Sportster 883L because I can reach both the ground and the controls on it! ( I am Short).

Need a better seat!!!! Looking at HD solo seat wich will keep height of bike the same and also Mustang- the problem with Mustang is it raises the seat!!!!

Don't know if that will work for me!!!! Help!! I hit the bumps too hard!!!!! Ledjenn
