Hey guys, I have a 2002 fatboy, that is completely stock. Just hate the way it sounds. I want to have H-D install the stage 1 kit and dyno jet kit, also a set of V&H big longs. BUT I was told that if I do my warrantee will be void. Have any of you had an experience with this? Thanks all.

If it's a dealer mod it should be covered. The dealers make too much money off warranty work to do a job that would void it. To be safe check with that dealer.

I would skip the Stage 1 and go straight for the Stage 2, you will be much happier with the performance, and it is not that much more. As far as the warranty question it depends on the relationship you have with your dealer.

You could just go with SE slipons till your warranty is up , then e-bay them

Being safe and just adding screamin eagle slip ons would surely be the wise thing to do. And I know my wife would say it makes sense. BUT if I wanted to be safe and reasonable I would never had purchased a Harley! I want the big bike with the mean set of Pipes! lol Thanks for the advice but I have no idea what I will do. I really like the look and sound of V&H big longs. The stock bike sounds like a sewing machine. While I am here let me ask have any of you ever seen a chrome fender bib to go in place of the passenger seat? I have only found leather. Thanks all!!

I did some extreme things to my bike before it was paid off. I didn't have a warranty to worry about though. But as it's been said before. It's an extension of you, do whatever makes "you" happy.

It's a load of crap. It sounds to me like your dealer is trying to cover his ass if he screws up your install. This scare you with the warranty garbage is covered by federal law. This link will give you all the information you need to put this "stealer" of yours in his place.

I also recommend you take your service to work to a different place and tell this fool why you are doing it.
