Spark an Plug?

I have a quick question...
I am looking at mods for the ignition, spark plugs and wire. What are the best plugs you peeps can think of and what are the best wires? I already have some leads on the ignition but some other ideas might help narrow it down for me.

Thanks!

I have found plugs to vary from bike to bike and motor to motor myself. A good ignition with hot coils is the way I go for postive spark.

yeah..
That lets me know I am on the right track. Sapose it's a matter of trial and error. I saw some wires on another bike but it was an 1100. I will have to catch the guy and ask him.

hate it when people I wanna talk to at work are on the out going shift ...

You must match the plug type to the engine design. The plugs will differ in reach and heat range for proper combustion and many manufacturers offer a plug for most anything. The ignition type is important with the type of plug - restistor or internal gap or solid electrode. A hot spark electronic ignition will destroy itself with improper plugs. And the wires are the same - designed for specific applications - resistive or non.

You question doesn't have an easy answer, especially not knowing what your ride is...

'wolf'...we both have 650's and after some very knowledgeable input, I installed NGK Iridium Plugs DPR7EIX-9
One online source is: http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=DPR7EIX-9&x=30&y=12
(if you go here, click on "iridium" under Product Name for some specifics)

Also know of others who were able to get them from Advance Auto Parts and NAPA.

If you ride often, you WILL actually notice a slight difference. They apparently contribute to more efficient combustion. I gently checked the gaps (delicate electrode), but mine were ready to go out of the box. I immediately noticed smoother idle on the first start after installation. BTW, they will also have a long life.

Thanks for the info!
