Well, I think I have around 50 miles under my belt now lol!

Went on a ride today with hubby and son. It was soooo much fun. I had issues at one intersection where I stalled about 5 times.....I think I got flustered thinking I was pissing off the other drivers hehe....but other than that I think I did great!

What caused you to stall 5 times at an intersection? That's not good. Was it gear selection, rpm's, what? You never want to stall when you're taking off. Grandpa in the Lincoln Town Car behind you will see you start to move and punch the gas. Suddenly you stall and he creams you from behind. Analyze what caused you to stall and work to fix that.

Other than that, it sounds like you're coming up in the world of riding. Have you purchased all of your cold weather riding gear, or are you gonna sit it out for the winter?

I'm not really sure. Maybe I'm letting the clutch out too fast. I think it's just a matter of practice. Kind of like learning to drive a stick shift. I will definitely work on it this spring. We're done for the season.

When in doubt a little more gas ( not a LOT) will usually compensate for a clutch hand problem.
My wife practiced for hours in a school parking lot close to home. She just completed the Riders edge course which was great . YOu may want to check out an MSF course in your area when the warmer weather comes along , they have courses for all levels

I took the course but didn't finish it. I've decided to take it again in the spring. That way I'll have some practice time in a controlled environment and hopefully get my endorsement at the same time.

Didn't finish it? Sorry, that dragged up some memories that made me laugh... not laughing at you, but at a friend of mine. He owns five bikes and doesn't have a MC endorsement on his license. He failed the WRITTEN test five times so far. He rides fine, but he just can't seem to get that "what do you do when you see that octogonal red sign that says STOP?" down

What an idiot. He went to the DMV last week and tried to take the test again. He had a medical waiver for a car wreck he had a while back. It was supposed to give him one of those blue handicapped thingy's that hang on your rear view mirror. The lady behind the counter told him he could either have the handicapped tag, or the motorcycle endorsement, but not both. He said "F$&*" YOU and walked out without either one.

He didn't realize he was a total moron until three beers later.

LOL. Yep, I wimped out after the first day. I think I was just so overwhelmed. One of the instructors was an "in your face" drill sargeant type and I guess maybe I was just a little too sensitive that day. Anyhooo, try, try again!

My wife failed the class the first time she took it. We practiced like Hell in the parking lots and side streets and she breezed through it the second time because she had a lot more confidence.
I'm sure you'll do great in the spring. :)
