A man was shot in a biker bar Wednesday night after allegedly storming in with a baseball bat and attacking three patrons.
John Nicol, 40, had hit two people with his bat and was turning to a third, Kevin Kelly, when Kelly pulled a gun and shot him once in the torso shortly after 10 p.m., according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Nicol was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center after the altercation at the Nothin' Fancy Restaurant and Lounge on Gun Club Road in suburban West Palm Beach. His condition was listed Thursday as serious or critical.
Kelly, who has a permit to carry concealed weapons, is not facing charges.
One of the men Nicol attacked had to get stitches in his head.
Nicol may face charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
