A quick question again...
When I go to pick up the new bike, isn't there a law or regulation that states I am covered under my current insurance policy on the bike for like three days (before it is officially put on my policy)? I think I remember reading something like that... Otherwise, how do you get it home? Thanks...

I just got mine this past Wednesday. I called my State Farm office and told them I was buying the bike and I needed to get it home. I went on to explain that I'd be along in the morning to make the first payment and give them all pertinent info. Our State Farm agent is GREAT but his girl friday is a witch with a capital "B." She said I wasn't covered until they recieved payment and I said: "Like HELL I'm not!" My wife and I have been with State Farm for over 2 decades and they WILL absolutely extend to me all priviledges.
Here's the thing. If you have an accident on the way home, they'll most certainly try and weasel out of the settlement. But you know good and well that this situation comes up all the time. I've always gotten my State Farm agent to begin coverage the minute the phone call is made. If no one answers, leave a message and then DO take care of it the very next morning. And do NOT let some half fast girl friday buffalo you. You are the customer and YOU are the one they need to stay in business.

I don't know the laws in your state about this, but in Florida you are covered for the first (I think it's) 30 days of ownership. On the other hand, if you got a loan on the bike and didn't buy it out right you have to have insurance to cover the loan.
OK, that's my 2 cents
