Hi!
I am looking for a service/shop manual (for dummies, if they have one) for a 1983 Venture Royale XVZ1200 and am having a hard time locating one. I have the manual from Yamaha that includes the supplementary service manual L, TDK, and TK. Is there another one out there that doesn't assume that the reader is a shop mechanic? and also, does anyone know if I can "loosely" use the 84 and apply some of the info to the 83?
I am dazed and confused!

Howdy..I'm new here and was searching the old posts to see if anyone else here had the good sense to own a Venture, besides myself...Mine is a 2nd Generation, 1999...
Anyway...if you need a manual for an 83 and haven't found one try this site :

They carry all the Venture books.
Also another great site to check is : VentureRiders.org
It's a Venture owners forum and it's free. Anything you could want to know about a Venture, regardless of it's age can be found there...check it out.

Ebay motors has xvz1200 cd shop manual for 6 bucks, item # 120666858315 in Ebay motors.

Manuals are still available on ebay, If you search "Yamaha Venture manual on CD". You will find workshop manuals for 6 bucks . well worth it
