Ocala Bikefest 2006

The first annual Ocala Bikefest presented by Jugs and Strokers in cooperation with the Ocala professional Firefighters, will be held here in Florida August 5th and 6th 2006 at the Ocala Southeast Livestock Pavillion. Proceeds go the the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Oh this sounds like fun!!! So who all from RI is heading to Ocala? Since RI is helping out with the event, it would be great if a group of us went.

Flyers are out in a few places I was able to vist the other night.

If you are near the Orange Blossom Inn on HWY 441 South in Summerfield near HWY 42 you can get a flyer.

The Magnolia Oyster Bar in Leesburg has Flryers.

And You can get flyers at the County Line Bar on 25 South in Weirsdale approximately 1 mile south of HYW 42.

Thanks to these folks for hosting our flyers. Stop by them and have a cold drink.

Well, I gotta tell ya, I'm beat. I have about 700 or more photos to sort and alot of Ocala Bikefest sponsors and vendors to talk about. We have a report on the Ocala Bikefest Poker Run which was a huge success and more to tell about the concert Sunday. The Bands Rocked. It was a great venue and show.

I just got this photo from someone that was at Ocala Bikefest and was nice enough to forward us a picture of the Mini Bike Raffle winner, Sarah.

Got Any More Ocala bikefest pic's ready?

I got about 600. But I got sick as a dog and had some family issues to take care of the past two weeks. I'll have them up in a day or two. I'm feeling a bit better and can keep my eyes open without passing out every two hours finally.

We are looking at moving Ocala Bikefest to February. I'm meeting the planners tomorrow.

I do hope you are able to get a Febuary date. You have the makeing of a good show. I don't know who handled the advertising, but it was slim to none. A lot of people meaning bikers didn't have a clue there was a Bikefest takeing place in Ocala. I found out the day before when some one came into a nearby shop to put up a sign. No mention in any of the rags. Lets get it togeather Ocala is the place and everyone knows we have the BIKERS:
