Saturday we got up and left on the bikes with the girls at 9am. We headed south to a little Town called Elbe here in Washington. Some relatives of ours were having a family campout and my aunt had planned a train ride in Elbe. We had never been on a train so we went. It was a lot of fun. It was on old steam engine and the ride was about 1˝ hours. It was really beautiful as well. Then we rode over to where my great aunt and uncles place for dinner. Nice to see some family we hadn’t seen in while. The girls got to go on a horseback ride as well. Then we finally headed home. On the way down it was just the 2 bikes. On the way to dinner my sister and her fiancé rode with us. That was the first ride with a 3rd bike for me. Then we headed home all 3 bikes. I was in the middle this time. We hit Tacoma around 10pm and came across some major traffic as they had 2 lanes closed. Man that was NOT fun all that stop and go and we were getting very hot!! I think it was cooler during the day then it was when we came home at night. WE were in the fast lane so we had to get over. Somehow in that slow traffic all 3 of us were able to stay together. Of course the first time we switched lanes my husband who was in the lead pretty much made sure we would all be together, the second time we lucked out. Finally got out of that and then hit Seattle and hit yet another traffic jam. YYYYUUUKKK What the heck was up with all that so late on a Saturday night????? Must have been an accident and the fire dept was cleaning off the road. After that it was smooth sailing and finally got home around 11:30pm. After all was said and done we got 323 miles in. Not too bad for one day.

That is 2.5 tanks of gas for me, it may as well be three gas stops. And you had time left over for socializing and a train ride.
Seems like the eastern states are steamed and stuck together. The Smoky Mountains are forcast for thunder storms through next weekend. Thunder storms may be the only relief from heat.

Sounds like a great ride and a fun time. ( Despite the traffic). :)
