The Lake County Motorcyclists have chosen a date for their annual toy run. It is November 25th, 2006. This is for a great cause, abused spouses, needy families, and children without homes. The After run party and the meeting place for the children is TBA. The date has proven to be a very successful time for this run.

Please mark your calenders and plan to attend. Usually the bikes meet at the Southside Plaza in Leesburg. If the meeting place changes we will inform you. Plan on making this run, it is for a good cause.

Hey, does anyone want to volunteer to post flyers? I am getting ready to head to a couple of stops today and post flyers. Going to hit Uncle Tom's, Dizzy's, Alligator Joes, The Jam Inn and Pirate's Pub.

This is a Florida Run. Leesburg is about 40 or so miles west of Orlando and about 30 miles south of Ocala.

I'd like to send a big thanks out to the folks at the Leesburg Daily Commercial (http://www.dailycommercial.com/main.asp?SectionID=31&SubSectionID=235&ArticleID=18397) for printing the information about the Lake County Motorcyclists Toy Run today.

Thanks a for helping and putting the article in such a prominent place in your newspaper on page three!

Another big thanks goes out to WIND-FM (http://www.windfm.com/) DJ Charlie McGraw (http://www.windfm.com/display/displayDJitemdetail.aspx?id=28). Charlie listed the Lake County Motorcyclists Toy Run on his personal page to help get the word out.

We appreciate the support, Charlie! We're sure the kids will get a Christmas to remember with the exposure your efforts will bring the Toy Run.

When I say the email heading/subject about this stating "Lake County", I was thinking "Illinois"... I guess that means I will not be making it... It's a bit of a haul down to Florida ;)

Hey FX, how did you get the paper to print the flyer for you. I would like to get ahold of someone to get Michelle's run in the paper too.

Thumper, the paper probably won't print a poker run flyer. If you look at the cause the benefits for the toy run is for the paper almost feels obligated to do it. We also have the toy run on a couple of radio stations. I have never had any luck with a newspaper printing ads for any of our benefit runs.

I submitted a formal press release. The Leesburg Daily Commercial has always been a big supporter of the Toy Run and helped us out. Good folks over there.

Q's is in Yalaha, but the run don't end there. It's somewhere to go after the run ends in Eustis. There will be maps at the run.
