Should I Upgrade

I have an 04 Sportster 1200 and am thinking of adding Screaming Eagle pipes ,a performance air filter, and having the carb rejetted. Alot of people say go for Vance and Hines pipes but the SEs are less than 1/2 the price. I am not looking to be the loudest or fastest ... just want a little better sound and maybe a small bump in performance. :nopity:

Alot of folks like the sound of the SE's. The carp, air cleaner, muffler upgrade is pretty good. You may want to consider an ignition module upgrade, but the sporty ignitions are usually pretty good. I just don't care for the way harley does the advance curve one bit.

Vance & Hines make very nice products but $$$ I agree with Smeg, Ignition upgrade will make a noticiable difference. :sex002:

I had a 96 Sportster 1200 and made the same changes the sound is good and the performance is better you should also think about upgrading your rev limiter too it will make a big difference, Enjoy
