I was reading the Sunday paper and found this article. Two hundred Patriot Guard members attended a funeral for a twenty-two year old soldier (and father-to-be) killed in Afghanistan.

I can believe this guy had a presence. I was flicking the channels last night and the news was the last thing on my mind. But when I got to one channel, this story was just starting and I stopped and watched the whole segment. Very sad loss.

I tried searching for the article, but only found similar articles, not that one.

Here is one I found. http://www.news-journalonline.com/special/soldiers/2007/092507.htm

They seem to leave articles up. In my experience, if an article disappears, it was not verifiable. Mistakes are merely corrected usually, rarely removed.

That's not to say anything bad about the Patriot Guards in any way. I'm just suggesting that the article may not have cut the mustard and I could be completely wrong as to why it was removed too.

When the PGR first formed and the protesters were coming to all the military funerals...it wasn't unusual to have 200 bikers show up. Not all of them were PGR, but most ended up joining after they attended their first mission.
I think the average turnout would be in the 50-70 range, for most funerals here, but occasionally have some huge turnouts..
