photo of Ron BradburyOn October 14, 2007 the co-owner of the County Line Bar in Weirsdale Florida, Ron Bradbury, passed away after losing his battle with cancer. Ron was 64 years old when he passed. Ron leaves behind a wife, a daughter and two sons.

Ron was a life long motorcycle rider and enthusiast owning many bikes in his life time. Most times there were six or more motorcycles in his garage. His bike, “Man’s Ruin”, was featured as a centerfold in Easyrider Magazine.

Ron and his wife Cathy always opened their hearts and arms to support those in need within the local biker community. Always one to celebrate the positive side of any tragedy in life, Ron left behind instructions to celebrate his life his way rather then mourn.

Foregoing the traditional wake and funeral, instead the family and staff of the County Line Bar will host a celebration of Ron’s Life on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the bar in Weirsdale Florida. The Party will commence at 1 PM where there will be food fun and entertainment.

Even though Ron has left us, his inspiration lives on. I went by the bar this afternoon and the staff was on top of things and improvements continued. This will be a lot for Cathy, but there is plenty of support for her to rely on it appears.

I didn't get to know Ron as a lot of people did, but what I did know, he was a very generous and kind hearted person. I was at the County Line, along with my sister Lynn, when we heard the news of Ron's passing. We were already there in tears consoling one another over my Dad's battle with Leukemia. We understand fully what a long and torturous battle it is to fight Cancer. It took our Mom 11 years ago also. We hope to be able to come on Sunday for Ron and all his friends but we are camped out now full time at our Dad's to help him with his final days. So along with your prayers and well wishes, please include us too, we could use some of them right now. If we don't make it out there, we will think of Cathy and all you guys on that day.
TO YOU, RON, AND HOPE YOUR STAY IN HEAVEN IS ALL THAT IT CAN BE AND HAVE YOUR OWN PERSONAL RIDE WAITING FOR YOU THERE.

The gathering yesterday in Honor of Ron was a great get together. There were dozens of bikes despite the rain.

There was plenty of good food, no one went hungry.

For entertainment Eric and Dennis did the Acoustic Jam and inside Jimmy Sparks rocked the place.

Here are some pictures from Ron's Farewell Party (http://www.riderinfo.com/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=524).
