Member Reputation System Enabled

We have enabled the member reputation system.

If someone posts something you like, you can give them good rep. If someone says something boneheaded, in your opinion of course, you can give them negative rep.

You will see the rep icon in the member's post.

You can see your rep under My RiderInfo (http://www.riderinfo.com/forums/usercp.php) on the navbar.

Sorry Ricky. I wonder if that means Aja can give Ricky a bad rep multiple times? Just another list for us all to be on.

From what I remember about the rep system, you can't give the same person rep within so many days, and you have to rep so many people before rep'ing the same person again.

Those are all admin configurable though, so I guess we could set it up however aja wishes.

Aja, if that plea from Big doesn't touch your heart and cause you to show some mercy on Ricky, I don't know what else to say.

Your rep power grows if people give you positive rep. Your rep power shrinks if you get negative rep.

If other's like what you say, maybe they will rep you positive. If not maybe negative.

It's because of arguments that we're trying this.

We'll let the members speak. If people are assholes, they will get negative rep, if they are good contributors, they may get good rep.

You can re-rep someone after 24 hours and having repped 10 others.

Moderators and admins have been instructed to not give negative rep in lieu of moderation where necessary and may give positive rep if they deem a post useful.

If your reputation sucks on RI, the members decided that from your actions. You can't blame us.

Alright, the fact that negative rep can be given out has already reared it's ugly head. So, we have opted to turn off the reputation system and enable a "Thank You" system.

If you like a post, click thanks. If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing.

Everyone is starting out at zero.
