Or even if you were a passenger.

It was on the Lake County Motorcyclist Toy Run for me.

We just got our first snow/ ice storm of the season, so it's hard to even think about riding right now. Aside from daily riding to work, etc. during the summer, I guess the last real ride with a purpose was to Port Dover, Ontario, Friday Aug. 13th. There was a record turnout in spite of the fact that it was a cool, rainy day. They close the town off to car traffic for that day, and at one point they even had to stop bikes from coming in for a while because it was too crowded. I'm looking out at my white yard right now thinking about next year.

Don't miss the snow at all! I lived in Juneau, Alaska in the 70's and then Madison, Ct. till 76'. I'm in Houston now, since 76' and we ride almost all year round. It's 28 degrees outside right now, believe it or not. I ride to work every day. We try to make it to the Texas Hill Country a couple times a year. We go to the Smokie Mountains every spring. :blown:

Rode to work yesterday, usually car pool, because I planned to take an hour or two off early. It was 5 in the morning, 51 degress, and cloudy on the 20 mile ride in. Rained before lunch and again just before I decided to take my hours and go! The ride home was without a drop of rain but I did have some strong gusty winds to play in!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and I hope we all have a Happy New! May it be a safe, properous, healthy, and happy 2005 for us all!

My girlfriend and I took a ride on old Rt. 66 from Oklahoma City to Tulsa last Sunday, 2/20/2005...It was a beautiful day, barring the wind, 70 degrees, all in all, it was about 260 miles round trip, and the week before we took our first Poker Run of the year. about 130 miles, It is called the C.A. Poker Run..( Candy Ass ) as one never knows what the weather will be, put on by the local HOG chapter..hope everyone has as much fun as we have had in the last two weekends on all the up and coming runs..Keep them turning with the black side down..

October was the last time. Cruised down to Newport Rhode Island a couple hours away, and then parked it for the season.

Last ride was from home to work this morning at
5:30 a.m. It was 28 degrees. Traffic is light at this time. I ride to work everyday unless its raining hard or ice on road (I hit a spot yesterday morn..pucker time).
But, that don't count as a "ride". Have had my beemer since 12/28/04. Due to working a seasonal weekend job have not been able to put a ride in (other than commuting) til last Saturday (Februrary 26). I was about to crawl the walls!!
Left house about 9-10 Saturday morn. It was 35 when I started out. Went north out of Greenville,SC.
on 25 to I-26 to Asheville, N.C. picked up 40 west to 74 west to Bryson City, N.C. Just outside of Bryson City stopped at BP station for a warmup break, gas and coffee. Picked up NC28 going north west to Fontana Village/Dam. Circled around the road that goes to the bottom of Dam. Back on 28 about 11 miles to the intersection with NC129. This is where the famous Deal's Gap/Tail of the Dragon starts.
Didn't see a single other bike all moning til about 1/2 way through the Gap. Stay on 129 til the foot hills
parkway turn off. Made a U-turn and went back through the Gap. Continued into Robbinsville, N.C.
Ate lunch at Wendy's about 3pm. Cut back thru 143 to NC28 just above Friendly Fields headed back for home same return route. got home about 5:30 pm.
About 350 miles.
If you've never been in this area and you live anywhere around here you have to go. No matter what time of year I go it is always beautiful.
