Has any one run Synthetic oil in an Ultra Classic and a Fatboy?
If so, in the gear box and crank case, or if not, which one?

Thanks

I run it in all three holes of my 2000 Ultra. I like it. And you can get it from OilDoc at cost plus shipping. I also believe that BigWater and a few others all run AmsOil in their bikes as well. And the double drain interval with AmsOil helps defray the cost. I use synthetic in everything that I have, bikes, truck, car, boat, 4 wheelers.

Good Morning buford. thanks for the info. What "3" holes ? I know the crankcase and the gear box, but where is the third????

Thanks

I run it in the crankcase, clutch, and primary. And contrary to what some say, if the oil has a friction modifier, you can run it in the clutch.

Yep, I'm running Amsoil in all three holes in my Fatboy, and Ricky Roadking is running it in all three holes on his Roadking.

I must admit, I was a tough convert... but I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. The bike runs cooler and shifts smoother, so what more could you ask for?

I was wondering if you were ever going to let me and the others know that !!!!

LOL...

I am running AMSOIL in all 3 on my Ultra.... I have an '07 with the noisy 6 speed and here is what I run.

AMSOIL MCV 20W-50 in the Engine and the AMSOIL EA Series 15 Micron Absolute Chrome oil Filter.

I am currently running AMSOIL SVG 75W-90, which is the same as 20W-50 in the Tranny but I am going to 75W-140 in the Tranny to squelch the noise of 1st and 5th gear.

I am running AMSOIL ART Racing Transmission Fluid in the Primary.

Although 20W-50 is fine in all 3 holes, the Products I listed that I am using are Secondary fluids.
