Cool setup. c.crawford 01-30-2008, 09:49 AM The film stopped before he used his starter. He rocks it into neutral, the power inverter left him enough in the battery to light his neutral light. Then he swings out the kick starter pedal. That was me going the other way with a load of firewood. The VW Beetle sounded good too. It is a cool clip. Are you sure you want wicker? panniers: NOUN: 1. A large wicker basket, especially: a. One of a pair of baskets carried on the shoulders of a person or on either side of a pack animal. b. A basket carried on a person's back. a framework of wire used to puff out a skirt at the hips. any skirt so puffed. FX 01-30-2008, 11:31 AM Well, I like the idea, not necessarily the particular bags. Are you serious, you know this cat? Ricky RoadKing 01-30-2008, 11:52 AM FX, if you tried that down in FL, you'd either be: 1) robbed by a group of "Immigrants" who want to sell your guitar for burritos 2) run over by a toothpick who swerved off the road because of the glare from your speaker, or 3) attacked by a groupie with initials for a name. c.crawford 01-30-2008, 12:37 PM I like the idea too. To make the idea work better, use a power diode and 1 ohm resister to charge an aux battery. That way the power inverter can't flatten the starting battery. The resistor is to limit the charging amps, so it won't burn out the alternator. My alternator is only 288 watts. Arc welding is out of the question. The groupie with initials for a name sounds interesting. Maybe we can talk Lincoln into making a hybred motorcycle/arc welder. Make it amphibious too in case we decide to invade Austrailia, it is warm there. With all those spokes missing, Ricky will need mag-lev soon. FX 01-30-2008, 12:56 PM I don't need groupies, I need... Oh hell, the list is too long. I have an inverter, but I don't have a portable amp yet. My guitar case has straps like a backpack. Maybe I could haul the guitar on my back and an amp on the luggage rack I installed? Put a mic on the handlebars? Hell, when I learn to sing or play, I'll get back to ya. bufordtpisser 01-30-2008, 01:17 PM Didn't you wee the OCC bike that Peavy had built? You could try something like that. FX 01-31-2008, 09:36 AM I don't watch OCC. But now I'm curious what they did for them. Maybe I can watch it on the web? c.crawford 01-31-2008, 02:43 PM http://www.orangecountychoppers.com/occ/onairtheme.html It is on screen 6 of seven right bottom. There are 22 photos of it. 3340 FX 01-31-2008, 04:40 PM That's pretty sweet. I'd need a less expensive version though. |
