Can someone show me???AussieDave 06-30-2008, 05:10 AM how far up they put their highway pegs on a HD Roadking?? I just bought some and was wondering where the most comfortable place was.:moped: FX 06-30-2008, 09:19 AM Oh that one sounds so subjective. How do they mount? Can you mock it up without damaging paint or drilling? AussieDave 06-30-2008, 04:17 PM No paint damage or drilling required. They come in 2 parts that wrap around the chrome engine protector bars and the the pegs attach to that. I was just wondering if there was a preffered height up that is the most comfortable. I want to get it right first time though because of the Loctite that goes on the screws.:kewl: You are right FX, I can mock it up before applying the Loctite. I'll that a go. Ricky RoadKing 06-30-2008, 08:45 PM This is one you gotta figure out on your own; it's gonna depend on your leg length, pegs, angle of pegs, and such. I've got mine about an inch and a half below the upper curve on the crash bars (but I've got long legs). I'd suggest sticking them on w/o the loctite first and trying a couple different spots; when you find the sweet spot - lock 'em in. AussieDave 06-30-2008, 09:01 PM Thanks Rick, yeah, I'll take your advice. thebighop 06-30-2008, 09:48 PM Hmmmm... Dave has chrome 'engine protector bars'... and Ricky has 'CRASH BARS'.... Gotta be an American thing... bigwater 06-30-2008, 10:59 PM Just keep your pegs and controls out of the turning radius of your wheel. It's easy to do for most of us. Me being the exception. AussieDave 07-04-2008, 05:26 AM Hmmmm... Dave has chrome 'engine protector bars'... and Ricky has 'CRASH BARS'.... Gotta be an American thing... Maybe Americans crash more often than us Aussies!!!:kewl: Ricky RoadKing 07-10-2008, 10:08 PM Only parties. |
