Yes, we can help ya out. There is a 64 KiloByte limit on pictures. Unfortunatly, when you pull a picture from your digital camera, they are about 1.2 MegaBytes. Pictures that big are inpractical to host. Folks on dial up connections would be waiting too long. The hosting bill would get expensive fast using that much bandwidth as well. I pay this out of pocket, we have to be somewhat frugal till we get more sponsors and Premium Members.

So anyway. Here is a info for resizing pictures.

When saving your pictures, adjust the demensions. It's best to save the picture as about 500x350 or 600x400, or smaller, for use on the internet. This will reduce the file size of the picture usually too. To reduce the file size of the picture further after resizing the demensions, continue below.

When you save your pictures after viewing them, save them by selecting "save as" from the file menu. Usually photo software will then have a menu for the type of picture file you want to create. You can use jpg, gif, and png.

Jpg is probably the best bet. When saving the picture you can select a compression rate. Try to compress the picture as much as possible when saving, 50% or more. Preview the picture after saving to be sure it retained it's resolution and quality. You will get a feel for the best settings for your pictures after doing 2 or 3 and this will become very easy.

The windows picture viewer has a built in picture resizer, however, the control you have is limited. You may not be able to get the picture small enough. To access it, right click on a picture while viewing it and select resize.

How do I reduce the size of photos for online use? (http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/digitalimaging/f/howreducesize.htm)

Two posts above is a tool to resize photos to post them.

500x300 works well. They need to be under 80K.

That's right, the new limit is 80K and 8 pics now.
