:skull:Hey folks!:skull:

Matt Robarge here, aka "Awesome," founder/frontman for the Central Florida Southern Metal band, KINGS OF AWESOME (http://www.kingsofawesome.com)! We're out of Ocala, FL, and we're making our way around the Sunshine State... in fact we wanna let everyone here know we'll be fixin' to destroy Club Palace at Leesburg Bikefest '09 on Friday, April 24th from 10pm-2am!

The KINGS have been on a mission for over a year and a half to make themselves the go-to band here in Central Florida. From Gainesville to Jacksonville, from Leesburg to Tallahassee, from Tampa to Daytona and more -- we just wanna rock for as long as the Good Lord lets us for good, fun-lovin', rowdy folks like you!

On April 19th, we were honored to join some of our brother bands in a benefit at Fox Crossing in Oklawaha for a sweet young lady battling cancer. We can't wait for the boys at RI to post the pictures... we had a BLAST! We were also very proud and appreciative to receive such a great response from the bikers and regulars there at the bar. It just makes us wanna play harder, longer, and more often!

Please visit us @ KINGSOFAWESOME.COM (http://www.kingsofawesome.com) and drop us a line. Let us know what you think of our music and be sure to check out our videos, photo album, and most importantly our schedule for more of our upcoming shows (including Mt Dora, Gainesville, and the Starke Bikefest!)

HAIL TO THE KINGS!!! :headbang:

Welcome to the forum! We saw ya'll play Sunday at the Fox Crossing. Great sound, good show. I'm sure we'll be stopping by the Palace in Leesburg to check out the full show.

Hang on for the pictures from Sunday please. I'm behind because my wife is having surgery today and we've been busy for the last 2 days prepping for that.

I just went Guitar shopping while Tere had the surgery and guess who helped me? Ok, I'll tell you. It was KC, the guitar player, of KINGS OF AWESOME. I had met him about two weeks ago and didn't connect the dots on Sunday.

See ya again soon!

You aren't too good any connecting any dots.

But I agree with FX and Rick . . . Kings of Awesome sounded downright awesome on Sunday and I hope to see them again at Bike Fest!

From KINGSOFAWESOME.COM:

"The KINGS performed at a charity event for a friend of our brothers-in-metal Vocaldrop, over at Fox Crossing in Oklawaha. There our fearless frontman, Matt, was approached by a young lady about 1) adding one or two KINGS OF AWESOME tracks to the soundtrack of a film being shot locally, and 2) casting the Awesome One himself in a major role in the film!

Needless to say, he and the rest of the KINGS were excited to hear how the KINGDOM could be well represented in an independent film, but with one complication -- Matt needs to ride a motorcycle; the role is of a biker!

Matt considers his riding a motorcycle an inevitability, but with the KINGS schedule open this month, if there's anyone available to instruct him on the basics, we'd sure appreciate some feedback!

Thank you all for your support and help in advance! HAIL TO THE KINGS!!!"

:skull:Hey, folks!:skull:

Its been a while since I last posted on here, but I've been lurking around, pokin in on some of the conversations going on here at Riderinfo... gotta say, it's great to find myself amongst a bunch of cool folks like y'all!

The KINGS had a blast playin' both Leesburg and Starke Bikefests as well as a few benefit shows at Fox Crossing in addition to our regular schedule... highlights of our year so far, for sure!

I just want to take this opportunity to offer our services to
ANY and ALL biker events coming up this year. If you want a dependable, professional and exciting band to play some good, hard 80's metal and fresh, new music for a rowdy crowd -- the KINGS will deliver! We wanna have fun, our rates are very reasonable, and we care a great deal about the biker community and causes that community supports.

Please keep us in mind and contact me anytime for more information. Thanks! HAIL TO THE KINGS!!!

Did anything ever come of this? Did you learn how to ride (or learn just enough to be dangerous)?

Hehehe... got one offer but I haven't taken them up on it yet. I've been kinda busy with the "plans for world domination." We're taking a two- or three-week break after Jun 20th @ Shea's in Mt Dora (which you're all invite to, of course... a great night of original music) to write some more and rest up for the second wave of our attack on Central Florida. We've gone two years without letting up and we don't intend to give you folks much of a breather before we come back swingin' again! :D

Planning for world domination is rather time consuming. You should delegate more to your minions.

Keep us updated.

Dominating the world is so passe (that kinda means "old news", FX :) ); can't you find something more interesting to dominate?

Well, to be honest, I've always said "I don't wanna rule the world, I'll just fence of a big chunk of land and create my OWN." That's actually the REAL goal. \../,

Ricky is just jealous because no one has dominated him lately. (snicker, snicker)
