We launched a 12 inch rocket today three times. The rocket is a simple slide in motor with a streamer for recovery. My son had built it at school and his launch there was unsuccessful due to an ignition failure.

Launch 1:
We packed the wadding and sent the rocket up with an A8-3 engine. The launch went well, however due to the wadding being packed too tightly, the recovery streamer didn't deploy and the rocket fell fast. However, there was no damage done to the rocket or recovery system.

Launch 2:
We sent the rocket up with an A8-3 engine again. This time all went well on the launch and recovery. The rocket is still in good condition.

Launch 3:
We pushed things this time and used a C6-3 engine. The launch was amazing and the rocket shot up to about 1500 feet or more and took almost a minute to fall to earth on a streamer. Again, the rocket was recovered in reusable condition.

We have a couple more engines, an A and a C. Hopefully when we launch again, we'll have the same success.

We didn't take any pics. We were too busy thinking of the fire. But, we have more engines and I'll try to remember to record it.
