The yard sale and toy run will benefit The Haven shelter for abused women & children and the Kids Central Inc. relative caregiver program.

In addition to your support shopping at the yard sale, the kids Need; Cash Donations, Unwrapped toy donations for the Toy Run and Yard sale items donated for us to sell.

The ride will begin at 10:00 AM sharp. The parade will be escorted from the Villages Town Square to Okahumpka along Hwy 411 south and Hwy 27 south. At Okahumpka the run will head east on CR48 to Chet Blackmon's property in Yalaha.

Please come help us make this Christmas special for the children, women, and families in the care of these fine organizations that operate in and for our community.

Please bring a donation of an unwrapped Toy.

A benefit poker run will be held in Chandler Florida on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 9 am for Robert "Sailor" Viera who is suffering from liver disease and needs help. The run in being put on the the U.S. Military Vets M/C Stone Cold Chapter. Sailor is the treasurer and dear friend to many of the members of the Stone Cold chapter.

The run will begin at VFW Post 4493 in Chandler, Florida on Cr-464, which is also called SE Maricamp Road. Sign up is at 9am. Hands are $10.00 for the first hand and $5.00 for additional hands. All you can eat breakfast will be served for $5.00.

The run will leave the VFW and ride to Kool Kats Saloon. From there the run takes the riders to the County Line Bar, Ghost Riders and then back to the VFW in Chandler. The last bike in is scheduled for 2pm.

After the run join the vets for food, raffles, a 50/50 drawing and fun.

Recently Dave O, who many of you know for organizing the Leesburg Bikefest Volunteer workers, became ill and fell into a coma. He is laid up in the hospital in serious condition with a questionable prognosis.

In the mean time, Dave has a home that needs to be kept up. To help Dave O with this locals Mary and Rachael from Leesburg are organizing a fund rasier to help Jennifer with the task of maitaining the home while Dave is in a coma.

Your support in the form of a donation, of even a dollar if you can spare it, is requested. Donations will be collected Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at the Roadside Inn on Hwy 44 West between Leesburg and Wildwood.

Austin Allen fought and won the battle against Leukemia as an infant. Doctors say that a study drug that Austin was on during his fight made all the difference. That study drug was funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

We are gathering on July 17th, 2010, to do a benefit run and lunch fundraiser for the family of Olivia Overcash. Olivia has left us and gone to Heaven after a tragic accident on May 28th, the last week of school, while waiting for the school bus on Hwy 42 in Weirsdale. Olivia was only 14 years old.

The run will start at the Blue Heron Cove where breakfast will be available. From there the run will continue to Ma Barkers, Kool kats, Fat Daddy’s, and the run will finish at the County Line in Weirsdale on CR25 where we will have a pulled pork lunch.

A donation of $10 per bike and $5 per passenger is requested. A $5.00 donation is requested for lunch plates. Last bike out of the Blue Heron Cove is at 10:30 am. Last bike in at the County Line is at 1 pm.

There will be live entertainment by local musicians, including Patrick Hagerman, No One From Nowhere, and Shaky Puddin. There will also be fundraiser activities to participate in for donated prizes.

Thank you for any support you can give us in making this a successful event. All proceeds will be given to the Overcash family. Ride Safe!
