V-Thunder by Comp Computer Ignition Controller

I use the V-Thunder by Comp Computer Ignition Controller with Profire software.

I've got my v-twin done to the edge of stage 2, it'd be stage 3 except it's not stroked. I have all the goodies though. I can go like hell and have yet to be beat by an 88inch! I attribute it to the Pro Fire ignition being so tunable. I can plug the bike into a computer and see what's happening in real time. It's a nice toy that is very functional.

Here's a screen shot of the software. The ignition hooks up to the computer and you can program and monitor the ignition in real time.

Do they only make HD ignition controllers?...or do they have them for all flavors of 2 wheelers? That would be trick on my GSXR

I can't say enough about this ignition. It's so tunable you can get it just right. It's alot more then most want, but the results are damn good for an upgrade.

I run mine in single fire mode. Dual Coil.

Nice screen shot, once you static time the unit can you adjust timing indefinately? Does it have a setting for kickstart only (fires every rev instead of skipping like a factory unit)? I am currently running Hi 4 by crane on my 89" stroker and I like it, but for my next bike I am thinking this may be the way to go. Thanks for any help.

Under startup conditions the ignotion simulates "points ignition" which produces a highly accurate but retarded spark timing.

That's is from the manual and you can program the RPM range where that is in affect, above say 200 RPM and below 500 RPM.

As you mentioned, you can set the static timing and then do anything ya want after that via computer live in real time each cylinder independant.

The new model is probably way better.
