    Old guy is new rider.

Hello to all. I'm an old 42 year old guy who started riding 2 weeks ago. I got a great deal on an 82 Yamaha Maxim ($400) in great shape. Plan on having a Harley within the next 2 years. I retired from the Air Force 3 years ago and having a great time riding.

Welcome to RiderInfo. Good to hear about the new motorcycle.

Have you been able to ride yet?

I typed in 82 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim and got some good links:

It is a good bike. I like inline fours.

Thanks for the welcome. I really like the bike so far. It looks almost new and only paid $400 for it from a friend. I've put a little over 50 miles on it in the last 2 weeks. Plan on doing some longer rides soon and next week will start riding it to work. Thanks for the link c.crawford.
