I am sure everyone has felt to shock of filling up the bike and seeing the pump hit $10.00.
Reading the paper today I saw that they are blaming the next round of gas price increases on the storm in the gulf. I just wanted to share my feeling on this.
I have been a Chief Engineer on Ocean Going Tank Vessels for over 20 years. For the last 8 years I have been employed on a vessel that brings about 11 Million Gallons of cargo (Gas, Jet Fuel, Diesel Fuel} into Tampa FL once a week. My company has 5 other units that also bring cargo to Florida.
We all have read about the shortage of Crude Oil, all I can say is B.S. Yes, if there is a storm the ships might be delayed, but not enough to raise prices.
Also has anyone else noticed that when Crude Oil Prices go up the Gas at the pump goes up, but when Crude Oil prices go down the gas at the pump stays up? Damn those evil corporations (that was for you FX).
Just my Thoughts.
