Sometimes it takes time. Sometimes people just don't know the answer. Sometimes new people will come in after your post and won't see the old stuff. Sometimes peeps will read your post, know the answer, but be in a hurry to go do something else thinking they'll reply later, and then forget to do it because the thread no longer shows unread posts.
If you don't get an answer after a reasonable amount of time, go back to your thread and "bump" it up so that it becomes fresh again and will show up as a new message. By "bump" I just mean make a follow up post to you own post., as you did in your thread. Notice how you got several replies after you freshened your post. Most people who want to bump their post up will just type a follow up post with a single word, "bump" rather than deriding peeps for not giving them help yet.

I have a 99 650 custom. Make sure when your looking you specify classic custom or drag. Some of the accessiroes arent interchangeable. Light bar for example is not interchangeable between classic and custom. Ebay could be your best friend as far as accessories. Most of what Ive gotten, I got for half to 2/3 of retail price, and have never had any problems.

I have a windsheild with brackets and bolts for a 2005 vsatr custom will sell it cheap ($75.000 YOU PAY SHIPPING.
I have saved hundreds of $$$$ on E-bay for parts for my v-star 650 classic !!! that would be your best bet !!!!
